In 1974, Ebrahim’s sons, Mohamed and Fuad, assumed responsibility for the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the business, steering it into a new era. They formed the E.K. Kanoo Group of Companies with Mohamed and Fuad as President and Vice-President respectively. Focus was initially exclusively on the Toyota franchise, and this resulted in the establishment of one of the most sophisticated and successful automotive businesses in the region. Further expansion took the group into other business areas, building new companies with the same commitment to trust, commitment and dependability.

With the oil, construction and commercial boom, and Bahrain’s development into the financial centre of the Middle East during the late 1970’s and 1980’s, customers demanded an entirely new level of total service. The Group responded to this, providing total end-to-end customer care, from the very first enquiry to the purchase of a vehicle and throughout its operating life with service and maintenance.
True to the guiding principles of their father, Mohamed and Fuad continue to value the customer as the most important aspect of the business. For the past generation, they have worked tirelessly to implement the most stringent quality controls and highest standards of after sales support. Investment in training and human resources is recognised as the key to customer satisfaction. They have done so in a way that adapts seamlessly with the unique local culture of Bahrain, setting standards for others to follow.
Beyond its business, the Group is conscious of its social and community duties to invest and be actively involved in local society and assisting the community by contributing generously to local charitable institutions.
