Kanoo IT organizes “All Over IP”, an event on Advanced Technologies in IP Based Security

Kanoo Information Technology (Kanoo IT), the leading IT services provider in the Kingdom of Bahrain, organized the event “ALL OVER IP” in association with their international partners - Trend Micro, Juniper Networks and Hexaware Technologies at the Ritz Carlton, on Tuesday 2nd March 2010.

Mr. Waleed Kanoo, General Manager, Kanoo IT & Director, Ebrahim K. Kanoo group of companies along with key officials from Trend Micro, Juniper Networks & Hexaware Technologies were present at the event which was attended by more than 65 IT professionals from various business sectors.

“All OVER IP” event served as a platform for communicating on advanced technologies in IP based security. This event gave insightful and practical information on how to protect organizations sensitive IT assets and operations. Kanoo IT’s experience in the Bahrain IT market and the global expertise of the three participating companies brought out the key elements in IT security which was appreciated by the attendees.

Expressing Kanoo IT’s objective in organizing the event, Mr. Waleed Kanoo said, “How secure is your data in the hands of a cloud provider? Is your data secured at all? We work with our info security partners like Trend Micro, Juniper and Hexaware to address these emerging challenges in the whole threat landscape of info security”.

Mr. Simon Carlson, Senior Sales Engineer at “Trend Micro” focused in his presentation on ways to protect servers and applications that meets today’s challenging operational security, and the compliance needs of today’s dynamic datacenter.

Mr. Taj El-Khayat, Regional Director at “Juniper Networks”, talked about new “Cloud-Ready Data Center” solutions and security products, which enable customers to simplify network infrastructures while sharing and securing their networks to deliver cloud services at massive scale.

Ms. Jamuna Swamy, Head-Information Security Practice at “Hexaware Technologies” presented the wide variety of data security services provided by Hexaware and the opportunities available for the clients to approach more success when applying these strategies and services.
