TOYOTA Motor Corporation Awards Ebrahim K. Kanoo with “Toyota Marketing Award”

Ebrahim K. Kanoo, the sole distributor for Toyota and Lexus in Bahrain, was honored by Toyota Motor Corporation with a special award in recognition of outstanding marketing activities and sales records. The prestigious “Toyota Marketing Award 2009” was handed to Mr. Fuad K. Kanoo, vice president of the company and Mr. Ismail Akbar, Executive General Manager of Sales. The award was presented by Mr. Y.Funo, Executive Vice President of Toyota Motor Corporation in a special ceremony hosted in Toyota Showroom in Sitra.

Later it was arranged for Mr. Funo to visit “Toyota Plaza”, which is considered to be one of the largest projects of its kind in the GCC; the Toyota Plaza is literally a state of the art one stop shop for all the requirements and needs of Toyota and Lexus users in the kingdom of Bahrain in terms of Maintenance, Body and Paint, and Spare Parts requirements. The total square feet of the project is more than 1,100,000 square feet, where the total area of the building will be around 600,000 square feet, a car park made out of 6 stories that fits 400 cars approximately will be available for visiting customers, plus work bays for 260 cars at the same time. A Toyota customer and a Lexus Club lounge for waiting. Toyota Plaza will also include a vehicle leasing counter, a new models display area, parts & accessories counter, a tire service counter, a mosque and an internet café.
In addition to visiting the Toyota Plaza, Mr. Funo visited the soon to be launched new Lexus Showroom premises, which will be built and designed to reflect the statues of Lexus and what it stands for as a brand of luxury and beauty, and is expected to be one of the most sophisticated automobile showrooms in Bahrain. The total area of the showroom is 580 squares meters with display area that fits more than 20 cars, and a new car delivery area that fits 15 cars. The new showroom will have a traditional Japanese Zen Garden resembling the elegance and uniqueness of Lexus, and a café lounge with Wi-Fi for visitors, both adding more enjoyment and excitement when visiting the showroom.
