Sequoia: the Biggest Toyota finally launched in Bahrain

Modern and enthusiastic families of Bahrain, especially those who consider driving a V8 Large SUV to be one of the life pleasures, were made delighted with the launch of the all new Toyota Sequoia 2009 by Ebrahim K. Kanoo (B.S.C.), the sole distributor for Toyota and Lexus in Bahrain, where the launch took place in Toyota showroom in Sitra. 
 
To determine the exact needs of large SUV users, long researches and analyses were conducted in the initial development stage, and time was spent visiting the countries of the Gulf to study the usage scenarios and gather information directly from customers in preparation for introducing the all new Sequoia.

The look and feel of the all new Toyota Sequoia has been designed while retaining the familiar stamp of Toyota’s quality that customers recognize immediately. Outstandingly, the engine, transmission and platform in the Sequoia were all newly developed using cutting edge technology to provide power performance, handling performance, and driving performance that are top of its class, when compared to others in this category.

Toyota Sequoia roars with an impressive 5.7 litre, V8 engine with 381 HP, which uses Chain Drive and Dual VVT-I (Variable Valve Timing with Intelligence) for more power and better fuel economy. A new 6-speed super intelligent electronically controlled transmission (Al Shift) also fully utilizes the engine torque and increases power, on-road acceleration and fuel efficiency.

Also, to make handling more stable and safer, systems such as Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRC), Anti Lock Braking Systems (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA) come as standard equipment in the all new Toyota Sequoia.

As for the Sequoia interior, the design and form pursued project the premium image with the ruggedness of an SUV. Toyota originality was also followed in every detail from the material to the use of colours.

Passive safety performance is enhanced with top priority on passenger protection, where in addition to the dual-stage SRS airbags and SRS side airbags in the front, you have SRS curtain shield airbags that cover every seat were adopted. The front passenger’s seat is also equipped with an occupant classification system.
