SAFETY - A CORE VALUE AT EBRAHIM K. KANOO (B.S.C)

Ebrahim K. Kanoo (B.S.C) held an emergency evacuation drill at its Corporate Office in Manama at 9:00 am on 18th August 2008. The drill was conducted in co-ordination with Civil Defense authorities as part of the company’s policy to ensure safety of employees and customers within the building during emergencies until the arrival of appropriate emergency services. This comes as a standard procedure from the Safety & Security Department at Ebrahim K. Kanoo where two evacuation drills are conducted every year in all of their premises, also fire fighting demonstrations are executed across all group locations frequently to keep staff familiar with professional and proper fire fighting techniques.

On the day of the fire drill and after the alarm went on, all 350 employees immediately started moving towards appointed fire exits and evacuated the building completely within 3 minutes, where all of them gathered at the fire assembly point. On the other hand, fire vehicles reached the spot instantly through direct signaling system. Civil Defense employees appreciated the immediate response and the cooperation from the staff of Ebrahim K. Kanoo. 

The Safety & Security Department in Ebrahim K. Kanoo utilizes its 24 hours manned security control rooms with advanced safety systems, radio networks, dedicated day and night patrols, trained security guard and continuous training for the staff on the latest safety measures, to ensure a safe and secure environment for the employees and people around them.
