Volvo Cars Middle East delivered a great deal of entertainment to its dealers at the “Volvo Pride” Event held at the Bahrain International Circuit in 2 separate events, one on 29th May and the other on the 5th June. The entire team from Volvo Middle East, headed by Greg Maruszewski, Managing Director participated in the conference along with Volvo Representatives from Motor City Bahrain.

Volvo showed its dealers what the XC90 Sport, S60R and New C30 (not yet launched in the Middle East) were capable of. From Track testing to Blow Carts for some fun and adventure the testing that took the cake was the 4 x 4 Track. Dealers from across the GCC enjoyed an “adrenaline booster” drive, with the XC90, on the off-road track. Drivers witnessed for themselves the exceptional “incline and decline” features of the XC90 while experiencing it in a most comfortable environment.

volvo3The XC90 ascended and descended 70 degrees on the camel humps, climbed 75 degrees up a Summit Hill, descended 85% on the Three Step Hill and ascended 85% on a stone pitched stepped angle on the Up & Over Hill. XC90 test drives were also organized on the track so participates could a real feel for the vehicle.

The Volvo Pride Event wouldn’t have been complete if the much anticipated test drive of the latest addition to the Volvo family hadn’t taken place on the GP Track during the event; dealers were offered workshops on the unique Volvo C30 and got a taste of the perfect blend of luxury, sport and city attitude.

volvo4“The Volvo Pride event was a perfect occasion for us to say thank you to our dealers and introduce our new born to them, the Volvo C30″ said Roula Beiruty, Regional Marketing Manager Volvo Cars Middle East. “Test driving our models at the BIC was probably the best way for the dealers to discover the many features the vehicles have to offer. We are confident, that with such an interactive program and fun environment for testing the vehicles in, the information and enthusiasm for the vehicles will roll out naturally to our customers” added Roula.

MotorCity General Manager Mr Chris Edwards commented, “We are thrilled with the new addition of the Volvo C30 and for having the opportunity to test drive it at the Circuit prior to it arriving in Bahrain towards the end of the year. Volvo has been going from strength to strength in Bahrain, with sales increasing annually and a strong customer base be developed. We expect great things for the Volvo Brand and with Strong Service Offers and this amazing new car, we will open up a whole new segment in our vehicle range”.
