Evacuation Drill at E.K.Kanoo Corporate Office

Emergency evacuation drills are conducted to ensure the safety of people in building during emergencies until the appropriate emergency services arrive. An emergency can be defined at any event, natural or man-made which, by its occurrence, endangers the lives of EKK staff, visitors, customers within the building and which requires an immediate response.

EKK security department conduct two evacuation drills per year in their all important premises. Half yearly evacuation drill of EKK Corporate Office, Manama was conducted in coordination with Civil Defense, Manama at 1200h on 31 Jan 2007. A team of Civil Defense authorities visited E K Kanoo Corporate Office to check fire safety systems prior to the drill. Fire alarm rang without any information to the staff and the entire 350 staff evacuated the building within four minutes. Fire vehicles reach the spot instantly due to direct signaling system and civil defense staffs appreciated the immediate response of EKK staff.
